POLICE are investigating after a postman was allegedly attacked by a man with a hammer while he was doing his rounds in Machynlleth.
It is understood that an argument broke out between the two men while the alleged attacker was delivering the Yellow Pages.

After a period of escalation, it is claimed that the alleged assailant picked up a nearby hammer and used it against the postman. The postman suffered a slight concussion and was taken to Bronglais Hospital by ambulance, following the incident earlier this month. He is now understood to be back on his rounds.
