The alleged offences happened while he was employed by the Royal Mail at Chelmsford.

I doubt he will be coming back. his last name is south west and Mumbai Indian so its likely he could be absconding there.

so it looks like solely on the fact that he has a foreign surname you doubt he will be coming back? and based on that name you think its likely he will go to a certain part of India?NWpostie wrote:TrueBlueTerrier wrote:

Not racist at all. It's a perfectly objective comment. He is abroad, he is an Indian by parentage and he faces an almost certain prison sentence if he returns. He has an alternative which the NW pointed out. Would you bet your house on him coming back to face the music? Really?zx135 wrote:so it looks like solely on the fact that he has a foreign surname you doubt he will be coming back? and based on that name you think its likely he will go to a certain part of India?NWpostie wrote:TrueBlueTerrier wrote:

I'm surprised he was allowed to leave the country unless there is a very high bail bond ??

For a first offence (he would have been vetted like us for his job so is unlikely to have a record - well in that name anyway

you dont know any of the details of the case, or even if he is just on holiday abroad, he obviously was not a flight risk other wise they would have confiscated his passport yet you are assuming because he has an indian name he will abscond thats very racist and something i ve come to expect from someone who makes repeated racist comments here on this siteNWpostie wrote:YAWN !!!!! typical one sided viewpoint from you, everything is racist to you, you're getting ridiculous, even calling a blackboard is racist to you.

NWpostie - you are not guilty of being a 'racist' you are guilty of being accused of being one. That's the reality of life under the lib-Nazis in the UK today. They usually throw the 'racist' word at people when they are losing the argument, as if it's the big clincher that defeats all objective reason. Perhaps he/she should apply for a job with the BBC.

Well said! I think you'll find the people who shout loudest about racism are usually racist themselves. The worst culprits being the Lib/Left of this world, or as you succinctly put it Lib Nazis. Zx135 being a prime example.bustedflush wrote:NWpostie - you are not guilty of being a 'racist' you are guilty of being accused of being one. Re: Chelmsford postman set to appear in court
Sorry but RMC is neither a UKIP,BNP, Hope not Hate nor a UAF forum could we keep the personal stuff of who is and who isn't a racist and why out of the discussion.
Of course any overtly racist comment can be challenged and in extreme or repeated examples we will ban the poster responsible but remember what one person thinks is Racism others do not.
Some people believe that racism only exists if it is aimed at a particular race, rather than a group, others believe that any comment that highlights a persons roots is automatically racist, people holding those views will never agree with each other on the subject.
My own views on racism and immigration are probably too liberal (with a small L) and to Left for some on here but I try not to let that colour what news items I post. However, I do think its sad that every time I see a name in an article that has non British roots, I know the thread will eventually descend into a personal debate about racism, and that I will have to lock it before it gets out of control. Do I have to start censoring what I post on here, that would be a sad day indeed.
Yes challenge racism and defend yourself against claims of it. But don't make it personal, or the thread will be locked - like this one has been.
