Postman hopes to deliver a great result in cancer fight

A postman is getting on his bike to fight against prostate cancer when he takes part in a coast-to-coast cycle ride later this month.

Gareth Evans, from Rothwell, is taking part in the challenge in memory of his father. He is riding with his uncle Vic, cousin Stephen and a friend.

The four are travelling from Whitehaven to Newcastle, beginning on Friday, September 13 and Mr Evans said he was excited about the challenge.
