A Royal Mail worker drove on the wrong side of the road after ignoring a police officer who told him to stop the car.
Jamal Afifi was yesterday ordered to do 120 hours community service after admitting driving a Vauxhall Calibra dangerously in Iffley Road on June 11.
Afifi, of Green Hill, Greater Leys, also admitted failing to stop and driving without insurance or a proper licence.

Prosecutor John Denniss told Oxford Crown Court the 24-year-old was spotted by a cycling police officer accelerating at high speed down James Street.
He stopped at the junction with Iffley Road, where the officer caught up with him and ordered him to stop. But Afifi sped off, driving on the wrong side of the road down Jackdaw Lane.
When questioned by police, Afifi said he was not the driver and the real driver had run off.
Sentencing Afifi, who was suspended from his job following a conviction for assault, Judge Julian Hall said: "You drove dangerously and you tried to get away with it and that was very silly."
He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
