Unofficial postal strike victory in Peterborough
Unofficial postal strike victory in Peterborough shows the way to fight

Postal workers in Peterborough have scored a crucial victory after an unofficial four-day strike forced bosses to lift the suspension of a delivery rep.
Some 170 workers walked out at the Werrington office in Peterborough on 5 July in response to the suspension. They are members of the Communication and Workers Union (CWU).
The workers have now gone back to work. But they are prepared to walk out again if the rep is disciplined.
This is a great result that shows what workers can do if they take action.
The CWU has a tradition of unofficial action that postal workers can draw on in the coming national dispute against privatisation.
The CWU is set to ballot members in September for national action against the Tories’ plan to sell off Royal Mail.
Members recently voted by 96 percent against privatisation.
Now they can turn the victory at Peterborough into the model for national action.

At least they have each others backs there. There's no solidarity in my office whatsoever.mandelsons_toenail wrote:BernardBresslaw wrote:Have Peterborough got any vacancies?![]()

Excellent result.
Well done to all.
Should be like this everywhere, but it sadly isn't.
