Multi-million pound plans to transform Lynn’s former Post Office have provoked a mixed reaction from Lynn News readers since they were first reported on Friday.

Developers last week unveiled proposals to turn the Baxters Plain site into shops, offices, a medical or community centre and 27 flats.

And readers who commented on the story on our Facebook page gave the plans their backing.

Katherine Shuttleworth said: “Better than a derelict building and with the modinisation of Hillington Square it shall make the town look fresh, not run down.”

But comments posted on the Lynn News website questioned whether market traders would be able to make better use of the building and voiced concerns over parking for the housing part of the development.

You can still have your say by emailing newsdesk@lynnnews.co.uk.
