FOR GODS SAKE PUBLIC...WAKE UP!
When oh when are the general public going to realise that they are on the verge of losing their postal service and that all those so called "alternative" companies DON'T ACTUALLY DELIVER F***ING LETTERS BECAUSE WE IDIOTS DO IT FOR PRACTICALLY NOTHING FOR THEM !? If I see one more dickhead on TV spouting off about TNT, DHL etc I'm gonna EXPLODE!

I know exactly what you mean and I'm just a Business account holder with Royal Mail who can see what is going to happen and supports your action. Stay away from BBC news 24 Have Your Say - How Will The Postal Strike affect you - their have been 2,776 comments and most are mind boggling and moronic- what about me and my mail etc.backintheday wrote:When oh when are the general public going to realise that they are on the verge of losing their postal service and that all those so called "alternative" companies DON'T ACTUALLY DELIVER F***ING LETTERS BECAUSE WE IDIOTS DO IT FOR PRACTICALLY NOTHING FOR THEM !? For the record this is what I posted there, you are limited to number of words you can use. ( waiting for a BBC moderator to check before going up):-
What few people realise is that Royal Mail is the only service available that delivers small packages under 2.5kg at a rate small and big firms can afford. I have contracts with other companies DHL etc. but only for larger shipments. Other companies will deliver but at an average cost of around £8.00 per package. Smaller parcels and letters are what Royal Mail deliver nationwide. There is and will never be another choice. The postal workers seem to have a genuine case and have no other choice.
Preceded by this first one (moderator checked and put up) posted before I found your site and learnt more :-
As a business user of Royal Mail for 25 years I depend on them for a large part of my income. This strike will hurt me but having read detailed indormation on why they are striking I fully suppport the postal workers. I hope the public learn the truth behind this strike Royal Mail are saying :- To claim full pension work 5 years longer // cut a 200,000 work force by 40,000 / Impose flexible working the biggest change involving monthly not weekly pay, work when and where we tell you to work etc

cheers Strollingman i use Ebay a lot and people will be in for a rude awakening if Royal Mail falls away or the USO is dropped this could all end up in tears and heavy subsidies paid by the tax payers money to keep the USO in place ..... i personally feel that postcomm/postwatch/Labour do not realise what they are doing by destroying a postal service that delivers to every door without a subsidy of any kind the general public will look on these people badly as our so called competitors are not in the slightest interested in delivering mailStrollingman wrote:I know exactly what you mean and I'm just a Business account holder with Royal Mail who can see what is going to happen and supports your action. thank you strollingman for checking the facts and making up your own mind, us posties are getting fed up with companies criticising us before they've bothered to find out what our action is all about, and just relying on the press snippets that are far short of the full story. . . . if only more could take the time to be as informed as your good selfStrollingman wrote:I know exactly what you mean and I'm just a Business account holder with Royal Mail who can see what is going to happen and supports your action.

Thank you for some reasoned thinking, if everyone who uses R/M gave some thought to whats happening to our `service` this dispute would soon end.Strollingman wrote:I know exactly what you mean and I'm just a Business account holder with Royal Mail who can see what is going to happen and supports your action.
