Royal Mail revamp should cut queues at Bath sorting office

People collecting parcels and post will no longer face long delays after improvements were made to the Bath sorting office.
The collection point in Railway Place now has three serving counters and extra storage space to help cope with local demand.

Last summer Royal Mail announced the improvements as members of the public complained of having to wait more than hour to collect undelivered parcels.

Royal Mail spokeswoman Val Bodden said: “We are pleased to inform customers that as a result of improvements at Bath Delivery Office in Manvers Street, Bath, the inquiry office is now more accessible to visitors collecting items of mail. There are three separate serving counters, with additional storage space for parcels, and the counters will be fully staffed during busy periods of the day. There is also seating available inside the building.”

The office opening hours are 7am to 6.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 7am to 8pm on Wednesday and 7am to 2pm on Saturday.
