Also other UNISON members (and other unions) in the socialist organisation I'm in are trying to organise links for the strike:
http://www.permanentrevolution.net/?vie ... entry=1689But to end on an upbeat note, a militant CWU rep addressed my UNISON branch at a well-attended (200 strong) meeting over the local government pay dispute. Curiously enough, ballot papers are due to go out during one of the days of CWU strike action in Royal Mail.

"A problem from the start has been the illusion of the CWU leadership that they can convince Royal Mail management of an alternative course, rather than recognising that there are no shared interests and they will have to be forced to back down."
I like that bit! It's a bit like the opening words of our preamble: "The working class and the employing class have nothing in common." It's good, because it's true.

There are a few registered on here. According to the internal mailing list, there are some new posties in membership including one with a background in journalism. He will come in handy! We are small, but perfectly formed as the saying goes. We've got some Unison dual carders.LondonUNISON wrote:Spot on!"The working class and the employing class have nothing in common."
Good to see an IWW member on here, I was thinking of joining myself. Any luck in getting many postal workers to join the IWW?
By the way, why not put that article in the NEWS section on here?
