Under the auspices of Acas, Royal Mail and CWU have conducted a robust and challenging review of the Whitstable Delivery Office consultation process. The review has taken full account of the agreed terms of reference and of the National Agreed Framework for Dealing with Delivery Office Mergers/Closures (2012).

It has been recognised that a number of outstanding issues will require further discussion and resolution; during this period the terms of the Review process remain in force.

Subject to those outstanding issues being addressed and resolved it is now the view of Acas that the terms of reference of the Review process have been complied with and the parties should now determine how best to move forward.
