Bristol delivery workers are hoping the intervention of arbitration service ACAS will help achieve a solution to the continuing dispute at their city's South East Delivery Office.

Local branch secretary Dave Wilshire explained that the root cause of the dispute - which provoked a pre-Christmas walkout by fed-up staff - is "a revision gone wrong."
The delivery revision, which was implemented last year, "hasn't worked since Day One - there are simply not enough people here to get the deliveries completed in the times given," he added.

Workers at Bristol SEDO gather on the picket line for the first round of strike action back in December '12.
Workers at the office have reported increasing frustrations with the problems that the new system is causing - and by the apparent failure of managers to deal with the difficulties.
"What's really upsetting for us is that the new system is letting down the people of South East Bristol - and it's our members who are getting blamed for what's actually a failure by management," Dave pointed out.
"The strike that took place back in December was entirely the fault of the management. We're pleased that ACAS have now become involved and let's all hope next week's talks can resolve this situation."
Assistant secretary Bob Gibson will lead the CWU negotiating team at the talks due to take place next Tuesday in London.
"Let's hope common sense prevails and we make some progress at these talks," said Bob.
