NEARLY 300 residents joined striking postmen and women on a picket line in Whitstable on Saturday morning in a protest at the imminent closure of the town's delivery office.
And with Whitstable Delivery Office closed Royal Mail might lose the local knowledge vital to the speedy delivery of inadequately addressed letters like the one shown.

I think we should be told
Management called the police when some local residents decided to take it upon themselves to stand behind a mail lorry when it was reversing into the yard. By this time all the hired vans full of managers were turning up from their rounds, so it caused a tailback along three roads. The people refused to move, despite the police, but finally agreed to move when the CWU rep (ie me) asked them to.... but only because we were about to start our march.
another example of a national agreement ignored by RM. good luck to you all
