It would make me feel a lot happier, I don't want to work another 20 years, I'm cheesed off I've got to work until 60 :)

I don't understand why we all have to have the age raised, one of the reasons I've stayed with RM is because of the pension and being able to retire at 60.

I don't agree. Workers not just in the present, but the future also, should retire at 60. Until I see with my own eyes, scum like Leighton & Crozier
having to retire at 65, just as they wish us to, then I'll never agree to any changes to the present pension arrangements. In fact, I'd sooner the union
sat down with RM and explored the avenues that could lead to postal workers retiring at 55, and on a improved pension.

It's high time progress was re-opened to the working class.

It really annoys me that our pension scheme is being used against us after all it was the business that opted to take a break in contributions creating the pension deficiet we have today.
Didn't the Goverment also take a cut of what should have been paid into our pension scheme so its about time they took a share of the responsibility too.

And to top it all off haven't we all just recieved our pension predictions which if tweedle dum and tweedle dummer have there way will just be a distant memory of better times.
In the words of Jim Bowen "look at what you could have won"

And why we still have a political fund in favour of the Labour Party is beyond me they have not supported us one bit during this dispute.

Quite agree does seem abit like selling out your kids.
We all know the level of trust this management deserves, sticking to agreements is not one of thier strong points, so five years down the line when they come back for more out of our pension pot , how many new starters wil strike to defend benefits they do not enjoy.
A two tier pension scheme is not only divisive but will also ensure further attacks

The thieving bastards took a 17 year break from paying their contributions. We had a thief who got 4 months for stealing mail. What's going to happen to the robbing scum who stole our money? Nothing!
Seventeen years! There's lads and girls working for Royal Mail who were babies seventeen years ago and they're expected to fund the salaries of those brigands at the top.
Stop funding Labour Billy, you bloody mug and put the cash into our pension fund.

I think you misjudge our leader - it is going in to a pension fund - ahem!

In that case do you think we could get Mossad to visit these 2 pension stealing bosses whilst they are on a Mediterranean cruise

You all know where i stand on pension's. The whole situation is a complete disgrace, but here's a worrying fact. When the chips are down RM can make any change's they want to the scheme under pension's law and leagaly there is nothing you can do. Under pensions regulation they hold all the aces. yes we all know that's not right but in law you could do nothing. :mad

Rm could be likened to the time when Robert Maxell robbed the pension funds of the workers that worked for the papers and used it for his own gains  can see this happening also pair of thieving b*****ds :cfo :lfo

Good but remember Nicholas Ridley gave a lot of NHS workers a shafting to break NUPE ( Now Unison) . Thatcher's purgative medicine was far worse than the original disease . Many below the rank of nurse, were contracted out to the likes of Carillion and TUPE arrangements only last so long . AL & AC would love to do the same to us , no loyalty either way.
