Industrial action: an update from Royal Mail
September 20th update
We are disappointed to confirm that the Communication Workers Union (CWU) has announced further strike action, in the form of two 48-hour strikes on October 5th – 6th, and October 8th – 9th
We are currently EATING DO-NUTS AND HAVEN'T GO A CLUE ABOUT the likely impact on services, and will communicate these as soon as possible. ( BY E-MAIL AS THE POST WONT BE GOING ANYWHERE )
We have NOT GOT A CLUE ABOUT ANY well developed contingency plans in order to reduce the effect of the strike, but disruption is inevitable.
Royal Mail’s priorities during the strike are:
* Protect vulnerable members of society, who depend on Post Office payments of pensions and social security - BY CLOSING MORE RURAL & TOWN POST OFFICES THAN EVER BEFORE !
* Ensure customers can continue to post mail, through the Post Office network - PS - THEY HAVE MOVED INTO W. H. SMITHS NOW
* Maintain Royal Mail Special Delivery services wherever possible - WE WILL RUN AROUND LIKE HEADLESS CHICKENS TO GET SOME OF THEM OUT BUT NOT BY 9am OR 1pm YOU'LL SEE US WHEN YOU SEE US
* Maintain other delivery services wherever possible ( WELL, WE CAN DREAM CANT WE )
What does it mean for our customers?
YOU WON'T RECIEVE MUCH MAIL, AND WHAT YOU DO GET IS LIKELY TO BE FULL OF MISSORTS
How can you work with us to minimise the disruption to your mail?
DON'T POST ANYTHING THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SAT IN A RED BOX ALL WEEKEND !

Special software...
Although I cut and pasted this from the RM site I first run it through my anti-BULLSH*T software and that was the result.
