Dear Colleagues

ColleagueShare

We are aware Royal Mail have issued their second launch of ColleagueShare.

There is no guaranteed money whatsoever in this scheme.

This is part of Royal Mailâ€™s ideological approach aimed at convincing CWU members to accept all of their Business Plan changes now â€“ in return for the promise of money in future years.

The truth is - in its current format - the only way ColleagueShare could produce money is at the expense of 40,000 job losses, your pensions, higher basic pay, and overall reductions in your standard of living.

What the Union wants is the complete re-negotiation of the Scheme. We want CWU members to receive proper reward in return for agreed change.

The issue of ColleagueShare remains a key element in our dispute with the company.

Further information to expose the real value of phantom shares will be sent out direct to membersâ€™ home addresses.

Glossy packaged propaganda that does nothing to impress me.

Not again !? to quote :lfo " Give them shares ,it fools them into thinking they've some stake in the company,whilst you can get away with paying them less " -so that's the carrot for the enforced 13hr shifts , P45s etc??

got mine today piss wet through cant read any of it ,shame really, not that i expect to get a share of those proffits, we dont make anyway after all, we are loosing money, cant make a proffit ,postage by volume is down, costs are up,other firms are taking all the cash etc etc as we are told every day so how are we now expeced to believe we are going to make money now that this thing has landed on our doors

There is a DVD to this which should be or will be shown at WTLL,i have the transcript to it but it's bout 9 pages long,you don't wanna see it do you

Ohhh look it has a ceilng of 5k just over, but can be valued at 0 dependant upon the markets....What bloody market....We're not a PLC.are we yet? These shares are worth something though, saved me buying sand sheets to put at the bottom of the budgies cage....They contain s**t and now they'll be covered in it too.

These shares are not worth the paper they are printed on. It reminds me of the days of the depression when banknotes were worthless. Back then people used the notes as wall paper, thats probably the true value of these shares although I would not advise people to try this at home, it would be better sticking it around the big screens we have in the office to brighten the area up!

If Crozier and Leighton made these real shares, now that would be something as then we would have a stake in the running of the company. Only trouble their though is that share holders have a right to vote once a year at the AGM and guess who would be worried about their jobs then! Goodbye Crozier, Goodbye Leighton. :lfo :cfo

Aren't share holder meant to have a say in how the business is run that another clanger they two made instead of trying to force executive actions against us

The CWU on Telecoms went enmasse and gave a fat cat a hard time . He soon "resigned ".

I got mine. It's a wonder it wasn't sent via DSA. That's the future and it's so much more efficient than Royal Mail.
