RM Letter to Dave Ward!

I've shrunk it by 25% so hopefully it will be easier to read.
Bit of a patronising letter me thinks,one thing i highlighted,regarding working 40hrs per week,which i thought was funny,bearing in mind the stoppages some of our guys have had this week for cutting off!!

Very interesting "WORK THE HOURS THEY ARE PAID". Now who was it that introduced the job and finish policy. :cfo :lfo

And please remind us Mr McCarthy, other than a severe cost cutting proposal on our terms of employment and (services to the public) and asking us to work longer hours, what exactly did Royal Mail propose?

What garbage, they came up with job and finish as an insentive to clear your round, that wont happen no more ? its gonna be a long winter F*ck em :cfo :lfo

More than patronizing ,it's downright condescending -Basically we've deliberately run things down, there's mass panic and negativity and Postcon calls the tune -yet WE accuse the union of having no imagination,no vision . Very Arrogant , snotty & a boardroom bully .Just one minor little detail "Tony " it was RM's " cunning plan to spring all this on the CWU at the eleventh hour , not that RM are ever underhand or disingenuous -heaven forbid !. Classic American style deliberate misinformation , dissemblement to discredit the Union . Also of course the CWU GS indulges in revolutionary class war making impossible demands , right raving loony Trot ; Our Billy ? but he must be if he's to the left of Margaret Thatcher obviously !? Can't think why there was so much trouble at BAE with that Idiot in charge !?

That letter has really got my goat!Who is this bloke?!patronising is an understatement,you can hear the contempt oozing between the lines.I am especially wound up about the bit that says"the extent to which your proposals will improve the working environment for our people and give them the flexibility they would like to improve their quality of life"
Is he taking the piss???!!

My other half is also a postie,so the strikes hit us doubly hard but we will not give in ,we have got to get rid of of :lfo :cfo

Nice of him to include his e-mail address at the bottom

That way if someone has a question for him , they could just drop him a line

An Edwardian/Victorian Working Environment -"Tony's " obviously been watching too many "reality" tv shows at his Con Club . Quality of Life ?-Yes ! Be a Hermit and Bed & Work when your "master " requires you .
