A WOMAN had to be cut from her car after a smash involving a Royal Mail van in Maxted Road, Hemel Hempstead.

Paramedics called in firefighters just after 3pm today (Thursday) to cut the roof off the vehicle because the woman, aged in her 60s, was suffering from back pain.

Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The accident involved a silver Ford Focus, a silver Mercedes S320 and the postal vehicle.
