A POSTIE will celebrate a red letter day when he leaps out of a plane for charity.
Gino Strinati, from Cheltenham, is undertaking a skydive on April 8 to raise money for the Rainbow Trust, a national charity for children with terminal illnesses.
The 22-year-old, who is working at Cheltenham Post Office to fund a course in football coaching, aims to raise at least £100.
He is doing the tandem jump with pals Matthew Nolan and Josh Ellin, both from Cheltenham, at South Cerney airfield, near Cirencester.
Mum Deborah Lipinski who works as a PCSO at Tewkesbury, has already drummed up £100 from colleagues towards the cause.
She said her son had considered fundraising for cancer as the disease had struck their family.
"Both my parents died of lung cancer and my aunt has survived breast cancer," she said.
