Royal Mail changes postal deliveries in Welwyn Garden City

ROYAL Mail has made changes to the way it delivers post to residents living in the AL6, AL7 and AL8 postcode areas.

The changes, brought in at the start of the month, have seen postmen and women use new delivery methods and adopt revised routes.

The time customers receive their mail may change – to either earlier or later – although most should still have their post by lunchtime.

Royal Mail has also invested in new equipment to help workers deliver larger items, reducing the risk of injury from carrying heavier mail bags.

Collection and delivery sector manager Mark Chambers said: “The local delivery team and I are fully committed to providing a high quality of service that is as reliable and friendly as customers have come to expect from Royal Mail in Welwyn Garden City over many years.”
