Raiders steal post bags from Royal Mail van in Newton Heath

Police are investigating after thieves stole two bags of post from the back of a Royal Mail van. The thieves struck as the van was stopped on Oldham Road, Newton Heath, near the Sharp Project. The offenders escaped on foot and the two bags of mail were later recovered in the nearby Rochdale Canal. Officers received a report of theft at around 1.20pm this afternoon (Thursday) and confirmed they were investigating the incident.

Can we have a sticker on the back of the vans that reads...to all the inbred,thick as s**t would-be criminals thinking of nicking the mail...there is absolutely nothing of value in a bag full of studio catalogues,take-away leaflets and reminders from the local dentist/optician..
Think about the crap that comes in through your door...and multiply it by 100...that's a bag of mail.

It'll probably say "Their is no mail left in this van overnight" once we're all taking the vans home, but that's only a challenge to thieves to disprove it.
