Royal Mail sounds last post for Coton

STATELY home Coton House is no longer being used by Royal Mail as a training centre.

Around 100 employees worked inside the late 18th Century house, which is located on the A426 just beyond the M6.

The centre began winding down in October as part of restructuring exercise and will gradually be shut down over the coming months. Some employees may take voluntary redundancy.

Royal Mail spokesman Val Bodden said: “The considerable cost of managing Coton House is no longer sustainable. Royal Mail has an excellent record of managing people through change and we are working closely with the 100 employees and contractors at the site as we discuss their options for the future.

These include deployment at other sitess or voluntary redundancy.”

She added: “Coton House has operated as the central facility for the development of our employees and we are proud of the role it has played. But we are facing increasingly tough trading conditions and with the development of technology, face-to-face tuition is no longer the most effective way of training.”

I sent a bullying and harrasment complaint to Coton House, now i know why they refused to investigate it
