There are warnings that plans to replace rural Post Offices with counters in shops, petrol stations and pubs could be bad news for customers and small business.
Hundreds of branches are being replaced by what are called "Post Office Locals" within other businesses.
But the official watchdog Consumer Focus says there have been cases where the new-style offices have run out of cash to pay benefits and pensions.
The BBC's Maleen Saeed reports.

"there have been cases where the new-style offices have run out of cash to pay benefits and pensions" - nearly as bad as a pub with no beer.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Video Report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16229897" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Everytime something is changed it is an admission that the last change was a failure. So if past changes have resulted in yet more changes, when for gods sake do the people at the top actually arrive at a workerable solution that needs little further change..........
When will it dawn on somebody that countless changes of one thing often affects the running and cost of other things.....or is it just the greed factor that kicks in for endless cost cutting for increase bonuses and profits.....or people with little up top trying to justify the jobs............
The worst future out come at this rate would be that major supermarket sites will treble in size , and sell and do everything and every other shop can close...and turn them into homes......now that is another change, which some one can think about...and look at the money making venture that change could create for the rich boys.
