DUNDEE East MP Stewart Hosie has welcomed new performance statistics that show Royal Mail has made a considerable turnaround in delivery performances in the area since last year.
The MP, who made his annual visit to Dundee East Sorting Office on Friday, said: “This is a fantastic turnaround, with first class deliveries in DD postcode areas now up to 94.6 per cent.
“I was very impressed with what I saw at the sorting office and I am very keen to see this improvement maintained over further quarters.
“Congratulations to all staff involved in this turnaround.
“However, the bad weather is on its way and we must hope that the performances can be maintained.”

Why?Depot manager Lynsey Forbes told the Telegraph: ‘Over Christmas I’ve organised an extra 10 deliveries to help shift it.’
Dundee East has already taken on 13 extra staff for Christmas, which will release experienced employees to do the packet duties.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
