Aberdeen postman attacked while doing his round

An Aberdeen postman has escaped unhurt following an attempted robbery in the second such attack in the space of a month.

The incident happened around 12noon on Wednesday on Ferrier Crescent during which a man attempted to rob the postman’s mailbag.

Last month a postman was attacked by a group of men on Bradley Terrace.

Nothing was taken during the latest incident and the postman suffered no injuries.

Grampian Police are keen to trace a man in connection with the incident. He is described as being in his mid 20s, 6ft 2in in height, of very skinny build with short, dark hair, sunken cheekbones, a pointed nose and was wearing dark clothing.
