A POST office clerk has been warned she faces prison after raiding pensioners accounts in a PIN scam.

Daksha Shah, 55, of Wickham Road, Shirley, stole nearly £9,000 from elderly customers at the Addiscombe branch where she worked.

The Post Office employee was convicted on Wednesday on six charges of stealing from customers, and warned that she could face jail for her crimes.

She had denied all the allegations, claiming she had paid out all the money as requested and had not kept any for herself.

Shah was working at the time at the post office in the Co-op store, in Lower Addiscombe Road
