A TEAM of eight Mansfield postmen who, despite the heavy snowfall, wore shorts throughout the winter, have raised £2,031 for Help for Heroes.

The postmen, who are based at Mansfield Woodhouse and Warsop, were featured in Chad last year when organiser Mark Laker said that he wanted to do something to recognise the sacrifices made by soldiers by supporting a charity which helps injured service personnel.

Mark said: “A big thank you to the Mansfield people for their generosity and making the total bigger than I expected.”
