RULE 13 NATIONAL BALLOT ROMEC PAY

Post by POSTMAN »

Set out below is the declaration of the industrial action ballot result for all CWU members in Engineering and Admin Grades employed by Romec.

Those voting in favour 613 (93%)

Those voting against 47 (7%)

Total ballot papers received 662 (70%)

The high turnout and decisive result should send a very clear message to Romec of the need to respond positively to the CWU pay claim. The union remains ready to negotiate and it will be our intention to contact the business as a priority seeking a meeting to resolve the outstanding issues. We will keep you advised of developments as quickly as possible and with this in mind we will update our web page www.cwu.org/romec when we have information.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank members for participating in the ballot and for their continued support. By remaining united we can bring the pay campaign to a successful conclusion.

Any enquiries to Ray Ellis's office, quoting reference PTC/MA/dj/312.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

You can bet your life that they will say only 40% want to strike as 30% did not return ballot papers, still good result tho. :Applause :Applause
