Petition to save popular Middlewich postie

A CAMPAIGN has been launched to save Bembridge Court’s postie.

Lynn Wilson has been brightening the day of older residents for around three years by delivering mail to the retirement flats six days a week.

But a Royal Mail reorganisation could mean that Lynn has a different post round by Monday.

Pam Farrell, scheme manager at Bembridge Court, says that Lynn should stay where she is as she has built up a relationship of trust with the residents, who are aged between 55 and 94.

The former mayor said: “She’s lovely and friendly with everyone and with our residents it might be the only person they speak to in the day.

“Lynn has a bubbly personality and has a good laugh with them.”

Pam, who has worked at the Bembridge Drive retirement flats for 15 years, has started a petition which has been signed by 54 of the 56 residents.

She has also written a letter to Royal Mail’s area manager in Winsford and district manager in Crewe urging them to reconsider.

Pam, of Long Lane South, added: “They do the same thing every so often but we don’t want another change, we like Lynn and she knows the round.

“People at work won’t notice a difference but for people who are in it makes a big difference.

“Lynn’s built a bond with the residents and they trust her which is a big thing in this day and age.”

Bembridge Court helps people over 55 maintain their independence by giving them the chance to live in their own apartment, while having peace of mind from 24 hour cover.

If you want to sign the petition, visit the facility in Bembridge Drive before Monday or call Pam on 835552.

They are wasting thier time. If RM back down on any revision or allowed one person to retain thier round they'd have to do it all over the country and that aint gonna happen! :Boo hoo!

Boring boring boring, these silly stories are getting more common place now.
One twonk was even pictured with those who were campaigning for him to keep his round.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
