A bomb has been found at a Royal Mail sorting office in Belfast during a security alert. [11 February 2011]

The bomb found in Belfast’s Tomb Street was described by police as a “viable device” and has been removed for examination.

Meanwhile, there was a security alert on the Ormeau Bridge area when a suspicious object was found at Artnana Street.

Police carried out a controlled explosion and later discovered that it was a hoax.
