The Royal Mail has extended its sponsorship of the Irish FA’s Respect programme at Northern Ireland international games into a second season.
The Respect programme will run through the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign and aims to promote good conduct on and off the pitch to help Northern Ireland’s Fair Play reputation.
Geoff Wilson, the IFA’s Head of Marketing and Communications welcomed Royal Mail’s support, stating: “This is another welcome boost for the game in Northern Ireland. Respect is crucial in the game of football today and we are pleased that Royal Mail has extending its backing to include the ‘Respect’ programme at our international matches.”
Royal Mail’s Head of External Relations, Barbara Roulston, added: "We are delighted with the success of the Premiership Fair Play league and are extremely pleased to be championing the same principles of respect and fair play at an international level. We are looking forward to working alongside the Irish FA as the football season gets underway and are confident that everyone involved in the game will get behind the initiative.”
