Eight Palmers Green postboxes remain closed

POSTBOXES in Palmers Green remain sealed after a set of Royal Mail keys were stolen over a fortnight ago.

Eight of the 15 sealed postboxes - around half of all the boxes in N13 - remain closed while Royal Mail obtains new locks for them.

A postman reported the missing keys at the end of July. Royal Mail said the boxes had been sealed as a security measure and apologised to customers for the disruption.

Collections have been restored at the following boxes:

263 Green Lanes

Bourne Hill/Cranley Road

55 Caversham Avenue

Aldermans Hill/Derwent Avenue

9 Aldermans Hill

The following boxes are still closed:

Belmont Avenue/Broomfield Lane Hawthorne Avenue/Powys Lane

59 Palmerston Crescent

6 Clockhouse Parade

78 Upsdell Avenue

Berkshire Gardens/Wolves Lane

114 Tottenhall Road

1 Chequers Way
