A "substantial" amount of cash has been taken in a raid at a post office in the Wrexham area, say North Wales Police.
The force helicopter was scrambled following the incident at a sub-post office in Cefn Mawr just after 0930 BST.
The operation was still ongoing at midday, when the police helicopter appeared to concentrate the search over Wrexham town centre.
Police said they could not release any further details.
