Parkhead Post Office is to move into better, brighter premises a short distance away from its current location.
Following the end of the formal period of public consultation, and having received no comments from customers and local representatives, the branch will move 85 yards away from 916 Springfield Road into new premises at 1442 Gallowgate.
The date the service will move to the new location is still being finalised.
Additional customer benefits include a modern, purpose-built counter with low–level facilities for wheelchair-users and an automatic door for customers with mobility constraints.
Customers will still be able to enjoy the same range of products and services as the existing service, as well as a wide range of retail goods.
