Forklift truck in Luton post office ram raid

Detectives in Luton are appealing for information after a forklift truck ram raided a post office on Saturday morning.

Between 2am and 2.40am the offenders drove a JCB truck into the rear storage area of the Round Green Post Office, causing extensive damage to the rear wall.

The water mains were also damaged, causing the shop floor to flood.

A white ford transit van with the registration NC04 KXE was seen at the location with the tail gate lowered and it is believed the offenders loaded the post office safe into this vehicle and fled the scene.
