A long running dispute over the delivery of election material in Londonderry has ended after almost 10 years.
Staff refused to handle literature during elections because they were paid a lower rate than colleagues elsewhere in Northern Ireland.
Charlie Kelly from the Communication Workers' Union in Derry said the problem has been resolved.
"Our argument all along has been for equality," he said.
"However, in this year's election we discovered we were due a higher payment that we were actually getting.
"They (Royal Mail) moved yesterday (Tuesday) and after 10 years of fighting the staff are absolutely delighted.
"They can move forward and not have this hassle come up every election."
