Lib Dems attack over post office 'cuts'

The Liberal Democrats have hit out at Labour's "decimation" of the Post Office, as the party hit the UK election campaign trail in Scotland.

Scottish party leader Tavish Scott was in the target seat of Glasgow North where he claimed the Lib Dems had saved Kelvindale Post Office from closure.

Mr Scott accused Labour of standing by and doing nothing.

His comments came as he campaigned in with the Liberal Democrat candidate, Katy Gordon.

Mr Scott said: "Katy Gordon fought alongside local residents to save Kelvindale Post Office when they were threatened with closure.

"Scottish Labour MPs stood by and did nothing while the UK Government decimated our Post Office network."
