A sub-post office worker in the Conwy Valley is to face a crown court trial, accused of stealing £36,000 from the post office in Dolgarrog.
Llandudno Magistrates' Court heard that Emma Wilding, 37, was charged with the thefts over a two year period.
The post office on Conway Road has been temporarily closed since October last year, with customers forced to travel to other sites.
The case against Ms Wilding was adjourned until June 1.
The court heard that the alleged thefts took place between November 2007 and October 2009.
The Post Office said it was doing all it can to reopen the sub-post office business in the village since its closure in October.
In the meantime, customers have to travel to the neighbouring village of Talybont or to Llanrwst to obtain post office services.
