A post office in a Bath suburb which was shut nine months ago has re-opened temporarily while attempts are made to find new premises for the branch.
Attempts to open the outlet in Weston last month were halted after problems with the security alarm.
The city's MP, Don Foster (Lib Dem), said he was delighted the Post Office had acted quickly to sort the problem.
"It's important news for residents and for businesses, which see a drop off in trade when a post office closes down."
Mr Foster said an interview date for prospective new owners of the business had yet to be set.
"If approved, there would have to be a consultation period, but hopefully the temporary service will bridge the gap to the new opening," he added.
The branch, in the High Street, opened at 0900 GMT on Thursday.
