New post office opens in Marlow

Marlow's long-awaited new post office opened to the public on Thursday.

The High Street building replaces the temporary building in the Dean Street car park which had been labelled an embarrassment to the town.

An adjoining information centre is due to open on Monday, March 15.

Before the opening, Wycombe District Council leader Cllr Lesley Clarke said: "Finding new premises for our information centre and finding a permanent home for the town’s post office are good news for residents and visitors in Marlow.

"By moving to these new premises, we’re not only delivering cost savings for local people but also maintaining a central location so we can continue to serve both the local community and visitors well."

However, this week it emerged that elderly and disabled users are angry with the design of the new building after finding it difficult to get through the door.
