Car crashes into Malvern Delivery Office

A CAR has crashed into a town post office as snow settles across high ground in the county.

The Honda CRV hit Malvern Delivery Office in Abbey Road, on the Church Street side, shortly after 8am, today.

Police shut Church Street at the junctions with Graham Road and Madresfield Road, diverting traffic away from the area.

The female driver was unhurt and no other cars were involved.

Up to 3in of snow fell overnight settling across the Malvern Hills, making driving conditions treacherous.

A police spokeswoman said: "The car is half on and half off the pavement and Church Street is blocked at the moment.

"We're closing the road at Belle Vue Terrace and will be putting diversions in place."
