The mother of Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson denied dumping a load of his fan mail when she appeared in court today.

Lesley Sampson, 40, pleaded not guilty to one charge of flytipping during a short hearing at Warrington Crown Court.

It is alleged she left bags of rubbish containing George's fan mail in a wooded area backing on to her home in Lyster Close, Birchwood, Warrington.

She was granted unconditional bail until February 3 when she will go on trial.

George, 16, shot to fame when he won ITV's Britain's Got Talent in 2008.

hope the poor postie who delivers to their house wasnt accused of not delivering the mail in the first place! i once was questioned by an irate person whilst on delivery as to why i had dropped several items of mail on the street from a house near to his...i had to try and explain that i had also seen the mail laying on the pavement whilst delivering and had to come to the conclusion that as it was bin day the occupier had just dumped his already read and unwanted mail in his bin to be emptied that day and some of the contents had emptied onto the pavement..Havent people heard of shredding all such documents!!! Identity fraud waiting to happen. P.S. There were also some chip and burger wrappers but i dont work for Mcdonalds!!
