Alresford facility could relocate into town's Co-op store

THE Post Office in Alresford is set to move into a supermarket further down the road.

The PO could relocate in the New Year to the Co-op store, confirmed a PO spokeswoman.

She said no firm decision had been made and there would be a formal public consultation in the near future.

The delivery office which is currently situated behind the office with access off Station Road would remain in its current location.

The spokeswoman said: "The delivery office will not be affected by any changes. But there is a proposal put forward to relocate the post office.

"The relocation would be to a nearby location with very good facilities."
