Newly appointed Nomura director Dame Clara Furse may add further board roles linked to Asia to her nascent portfolio, which includes Legal & General.

In the meantime, the former LSE chief is keeping busy organising a "fathers and daughters dinner" linked to the Lord Mayor's Appeal. Dame Clara's husband, Richard Furse , is planning to bring daughter Cornelia, while Lord Mayor Nick Anstee , Royal Mail chairman Donald Brydon and Sir Victor Blank , former Lloyds chairman, are all to dine with their daughters at a black tie event at Mansion House in September.

the word was that some New Labour People didn't like the gimmicky " New Wave Management " of :lfo - the New Wave bit is laughable anyway because a lot of it was hardly new at all , just bits from the 80's , 70's supermarket from Archie Norman , Walmart , Sales etc cobbled together .

The Plasma RM Big Brother style propaganda TV wasn't exactly a success .

One New Labour figure said he was high maintenance - or in English , a pain in the arse and a prima donna :hmmmm
