Police are appealing for information following an unprovoked attack on a postal worker in Leyland.
The incident occurred at 10.30am on Wednesday, November 4 on Fox Lane in Leyland.

The victim who was delivering post at the time was approached from behind by a man who punched him in the head twice.

PC Felipe Garcia from Leyland Police, who is investigating the incident, said: "The postal worker was shaken up by the incident and has sustained bruising close to the left eye.

"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area who may have seen anything or who recognises the description of the man to come forward.

"Unprovoked attacks are extremely rare in Leyland and we would like to reassure residents and people working within the town that we take incidents of this nature very seriously."

The man is described as being white, of slim build, aged in his early 20's, approximately 5ft 10ins and with short brown hair. He was wearing a light blue jumper and blue jeans.
