:sad: Shafted again---before this cooling off period was agreed, what concessions, if any did the get for us? I fear when I go into work this Morning, Managers will be rubbingtheir hands with glee, and treat this as a 'win' for them.We had the ball in our court, and seem to have scored an own goal.

This interim agreement does cover some of the issues such as pay, d2d, spans, mail centre closures,network and the job security. but the CWU needs to have a team working on the government to sort out the pensions crises.

One of the problems that government ministers have is looking after the public purse they just can not give 10 billion to us the postmen for our pension so I think the ministers need to put 2p on a stamp and this would cover the problem of the public purse and also sort out the pension problem.

If this is not sorted within any agreement then we have lost the fight

The three biggest political parties in terms of MP's all support the state taking on our pension as part of a wider package of reform including anything from a partial sell off to a full sell off. Of course the sell off money and pension assests would make a nice little sum of money for the government of the day.

For some strange reason the regulatory reforms can only happen as part of the wider package , the concept of the postal market being properly and fairly regulated irrespective of RM ownership status is not supported by Labour or Conservatives.
