The backlog of mail at Cardigan Post Office has been cleared according to the Royal Mail.
A Royal Mail spokesman said: "Contingency plans were put in place to handle mail at Cardigan Delivery Office and Swansea Mail Centre on the days of strike action taken by members of the Communication Workers Union last week. The backlog of mail resulting from the two days of action has since been cleared and there are no items outstanding for delivery.
"We would like to apologise to our customers for any delays to the delivery and collection of mail during this uncertain period and we would like to assure customers that Royal Mail is doing everything it can to minimise the disruption to customers' mail."

I think their backlog must have taken flight from Wales and ended up in our office. Last week did not seem too bad but this week has been horrendous. At least the lines of full yorks cut down on the draught through the doors and make the place quite cosy.

I haven't touched any flats or packets since Friday. We just get told to prep what we can deliver.
Mind you, any test letters sent now would probably be delivered on time (but test packets and flats wouldn't).
