Mandelson goes all quiet on us

Some Labour MPs have joined post workers on their picket lines – to their credit. It is also remarkable that the government has retreated into sudden silence over the postal strike.

Lord Mandelson is symbolic of the state of the Labour government.

After pushing for privatisation earlier this year and launching attacks on the union in the run-up to the strike, something has happened to him.

Strangely Mandelson seems not to have said a word, issued a press release or leaked an opinion on the post strike for over a week.

It could be that he has realised that every self-serving anti-union utterance was stiffening the resolve of strikers.

Or perhaps the ever fickle Mandelson realised that the bosses and the government are a very long way from smashing up the CWU, as they clearly hoped to at the beginning of the strike.

Perhaps he's busy trying to have the law changed before the CWU go to the High Court on Friday and HIS department is forced to fine both RM and Manpower, and force RM to sack the casuals they employed as strike breakers. Or perhaps he's disappeared up his own ****.

I do know a few " queens " that have been or still are quite prominent in Local Government / Trade Union affairs and they freely admit that there is the " vindictive Old Queen stereotype " , just like there is male & female stereotypes and female versions of male types and vice versa in the straight world .

They complained about certain bar owners - the pink pound if you will , who can make things very difficult for people .

One Labour MP said there's two Peter's , nice Peter & bad Peter and they coexist at the same time , hence the Lord of Darkness label . Apparently he opened doors that had been firmly slammed shut re compensation for the Ennisskillen Bombing Victims . That's why he's not to be underestimated but I do think he's propping up a weak government on it's last legs with a poor leader .

His job now is to rally the troops and head the " Go Fourth " campaign . I believe after a few drinks he goes on foul mouthed rants using the C word a lot re certain people . As to his off duty activities - it was a open secret for years but it was felt he was needed to " referee " if you will between Brown and Blair and Mandy was a very faithful servant to Blair .

Allegedly Pauline had toy boys - it was more of a arrangement like Hilary & Bill

The Myth is that Brown and Blair hatched a cosy deal about leadership in a restaurant - it's nonsense , Brown was compromised as Blair had stuff on him that would stand up in court , Brown had stuff as well but it would be a lot harder to prove .
