On Friday, in the view for past few weeks, the Communication Workers Union (CWU) is going to the High Court to seek an injunction preventing Royal Mail from using 30,000 agency workers. Therefore, the conversation between the two sides to end the strikes is due to resume on Tuesday.
It accuses Royal Mail of using agency workers as strike breakers to do the work of CWU members involved in the continuing lawful industrial dispute. Followed with a written request to Business Secretary Lord Mandelso, GMBunion asked to investigate the role of employment agencies which have supplied temporary staff to the Royal Mail
While Royal Mail claims to be entirely in line with all employment law and the temporary staff has been taken on to clear a backlog of post in preparation for Christmas – not to cover striking workers.
Negotiators from the union and the company were considering a series of proposals drawn up by TUC general secretary Brendan Barber; consequently, the Royal Mail and Union crave to resume negotiations shortly.
The dispute surrounds pay and modernization at Royal Mail, which is struggling with a £10bn pension deficit.
Acknowledged for the work in industrial relations, John Hendy QC of Old Square Chambers will represent the CWU, while acting solicitor is Paul Statham at Pattinson & Brewer. A number of businesses counting retailers Amazon and John Lewis have toggled to different couriers to avoid disruption.

If anyone can get the injunction it's John hendy a lifelong supporter of the working class.
Who knows what the judge will decide but I would rather have John on our side than any other qc.

Who are 'topnews'? They use some very strange language. Although at least the detail is fairly accurate.
