Is it illegal to have a discussion on a social network site

RM are apparently looking for " inflammatory " posts on Social Networking sites and overtly personal comments about RM managers / Key RM Personnel .

You have to be careful as RM can use the catch all - " Bringing RM into Disrepute " which can result in summary dismissal or they'll try and prove a point with H&B charges , they may state that posts could alarm , distress or annoy certain people & classing that as gross misconduct .

Try and use a " friend of a friend "

Sounds like there's a lot of pressure from on high ?

yes,our assistant dom has been putting some comments on people facebook.Much to my suprise.
I have no managers as friends on facebook,not that daft!
The only one's i put were news updates,i would never put any comments up on any site.
Even here ive used different names and ive been careful in how i relate whats been happening in our office.
We had two people invistagated in '07 so i know how they work.

there also was a good article in The Independent but the link breaks as it's too long . It's believed that RM hired a US Union Busting Firm .

If RM / The IB are apparently hacking into your Facebook - it might ? be a good idea to not have any applications / games - whatever ! as there will be little or no security on them - even if you get branded as being unsociable .

on facebook yes they do have to be your friend but other sites ie bebo, if you have not set the privacy options correctly all and sundry can see your profile and comments, so bit of advice for everyone, check your privacy settings on whatever social network site you use

think it may mean they will start tracking people on here, as in find out email addresses etc..... RMC has been spoken about alot lately
