Post by opgpat »

Hi, Richard Bacon will be chairing a debate on the Postal dispute tonight in his show which starts at 22:30. They usually have plenty people call in so if anyone has a good telephone manner have a listen and maybe give them a bell! It's on MW by the way.

Sorry, I don't rate him - he is no Anita Annand / Asma Mia / Stephen Nolan / Phil Williams / Simon Mayo....hell imho even Colin Murray could do it better - looks like I'll be having the Book of the week on Radio 4 as usual!

Dave Ward has just been on the radio with a bloke from Royal Mail talking about the strikes. A postman phoned up to say how his walk takes him over his time and he has to do it without being paid overtime. The bloke from Royal Mail, a Rob Jenson, said that this was wrong and any overtime should be paid for and to go to the manager if the workload was too much that day and he did'nt want to go over his hours and let the manager sort it out. Also, he told the postie to get in touch with him about this problem. ALL YOU POSTIES, HIS NAME IS ROB JENSON - ANY PROBLEMS LIKE THIS ?--GET IN TOUCH ! :Very Happy

Hi Catrin,

It's mostly delivery staff on here I think and we're not out till Saturday morning. It's Mail Centre staff who are out today so hopefully some will get in touch with you.

Many thanks for allowing a fair and open debate on this dispute on the Richard Bacon show.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
